The 2022 National Tournament will take place remotely following Science Olympiad's Satellite SO format. In this format, students compete at their school under the supervision of their coach(es). Students will take tests online via the Scilympiad platform.
All events will be based on the rules in the 2022 Rules Manual. However, some events may be modified to adapt to the remote format. Stay tuned for the Event Modifications document detailing event modifications and submission procedures.
Self-Scheduling Open (May 4–13, 2022) - Self-scheduling will open on Scilympiad on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at 8 AM PDT and close Friday, May 13, 2022 at 5 PM PDT.
Logs & Materials for Build and Hybrid Events Due (Friday, May 6, 2022) - All logs and materials for build and hybrid events must be uploaded here by 11:59 PM PDT/MST. Logs are required for the following events: Bridge B/C, Detector Building C, Electric Wright Stuff B, Gravity Vehicle C, It’s About Time C, Mission Possible B, Mousetrap Vehicle B, Ping Pong Parachute B/C, Sounds of Music B, Storm the Castle B, Trajectory C, WiFi Lab C, and Wright Stuff C.
Scilympiad Rosters Deadline (Wednesday, May 11, 2022) - A team's 20 person roster (of Team Members and Alternates) in Scilympiad has to be set by 5:30 PM ET / 4:30 PM CT / 3:30 PM MT / 2:30 PM PT.
National Tournament Coaches Meeting (Wednesday, May 11, 2022) - Held over Zoom at 5:30 PM ET / 4:30 PM CT / 3:30 PM MT / 2:30 PM PT. Head Coaches will be emailed a link to this meeting on Monday, May 9, 2022.
All events listed on the schedules below will be run at the 2022 National Tournament. The Trial Events to be run are Botany (B/C), Cybersecurity (C), Digital Structures (B/C), and Write It CAD It (B/C). The Trial Events will not count towards teams' overall scores. The rules for all scored events are available in the 2022 Rules Manual.

At the conclusion of the Science Olympiad National Tournament Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, a copy of the final scores for the tournament will be posted to this page. A team's head coach has one hour from the end of the Awards Ceremony to submit compelling evidence of a scoring inconsistency using the Team Ranking Inquiry Form. If the evidence is verified, the appropriate points, medals and trophies will be awarded for that team only. Thinking that your team "did better" than scores reflect is not considered compelling evidence. Teams will not be asked to return awards or relinquish any points. Scores for the 2022 Science Olympiad National Tournament are not official until they are posted on the Science Olympiad website as Official Results.
